During this full day excursion we will discover one of the most outstanding tourist attractions of Southern Poland, the Wieliczka Salt Mine – UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A short distance from Krakow, in Wieliczka we will explore the wonderful subway world of salt mines. The sightseeing tour passes through subway chambers, chapels, grottoes and caves, where you can learn the details of the history of the salt mines.
We will visit the largest of the chapels dedicated to St. Kinga, the patron saint of salt miners. This subway church is richly decorated with chandeliers, sculptures and religious figures carved in salt.
The Wieliczka Salt Mines Tour with the trip lasts approximately 4-5 hours. The trip to the mine takes about 40 minutes and the visit to the mine with the guide takes about 2/2,5 hours. The whole duration depends on the road traffic on the route Krakow/Wieliczka and the number of tour groups in the Mines.
