Poznań

Poznań is one of the oldest and largest Polish cities (fifth by absolute population with 567,000 inhabitants and sixth by geographical extension), located on the banks of the Varta River. Capital of the Greater Poland region and seat of the Archdiocese of Poznan, it is located between Berlin (270 km) and Warsaw (300 km) and is an important railway junction and road communication route in the country; it also has an international airport.
