Our free walking tour of Prague starts in front of the Hybernia Theater (Divadlo Hybernia) next to the famous Powder Tower. Walking through the medieval streets, we will pass by the House of the Black Virgin, an extraordinary Cubist-style building, where we will discover the curiosities of its current function. We will arrive at the spectacular Old Town square with the impressive late-Gothic Town Hall building. We will talk about the world’s masterpiece, the famous Astronomical Clock. The guide will tell about the glorious history of the city in the imperial era and the dark times of the past.
Then we will go to the true icon of Prague, the renowned Gothic Bridge of Emperor Charles IV. We will admire the scenic landscapes on the Vltava river, also visiting very peculiar areas such as the “Venice of Prague” and the John Lennon wall.
Once in Mala Strana, we begin the ascent to the Royal Castle. Finally, we will enter the castle grounds where we will admire representative palaces and churches, learning the secrets of Emperor Rudolf’s life. Of course, you cannot miss the spectacular Gothic cathedral of San Vito and part of the castle grounds, where we will end the route.
