Auschwitz tour from Wroclaw is a full day excursion from Wroclaw in the direction of Oświęcim. The town of Oświęcim, due to its strategic location, was chosen by the Nazis to build their terror centers. We will begin our tour by visiting the Auschwitz Birkenau State Museum, whose exhibition will allow us to review the most tragic events of the Holocaust. We will continue our tour in the Auschwitz I camp, which still preserves the terrible gas chambers and crematoria ovens.
Then you will visit Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp, where you will learn about the German state machine of brutal forced labor and human annihilation. Experience the feeling of visiting the former barracks, the ruins of crematoria and the memorial site while taking some time to reflect on more than a million men, women and children – the victims of Nazi terror.
The only historical tour of Wrocław you’ll need. Let’s go on the Wrocław history walk to hear stories about revolts, religious wars, how medieval people were punished, and so much more!
Ksiaz Castle and Church of Peace in Swidnica Tour from Wroclaw. On this tour, you’ll visit the most beautiful tourist attractions in Lower Silesia.
The best experience in Wrocław to try Polish craft beer. Local pubs, craft beer straight from the tap, and history of the Polish craft beer revolution.

I highly recommend booking the Auschwitz-Birkenau Day Tour through Viadrina. Our guide, Mathias, picked us up promptly from our hotel and coordinated getting the English guided tour tickets through the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum so that all we had to do was show up. He was a great driver in the rainy weather and we appreciated the history of Wroclaw, Lower Silesia, and Lesser Poland he provided along our drive. Note that there were only two of us plus Mathias for our drive and we were picked up in a small car. I’m not sure if Viadrina ever does bus tours. As we neared Auschwitz, Mathias offered to stop for a quick breakfast before starting our 8am tour which was also appreciated. Last comment I’ll make – we called Viadrina to book our tickets last minute due to a scheduling error and Viadrina/Mathias were incredibly helpful in organizing a last minute day tour for us! While I don’t recommend booking last minute, it shows that Viadrina will go above and beyond for their customers.

Hi Kim, thank you very much for taking the time and sharing your experience with other travelers. We do indeed offer bus trips for larger groups, but in this case, smaller transportation gives us the opportunity to get a more personalized trip. We are glad to hear you enjoyed traveling with us, see you next time!
