Escape the hustle and bustle of Berlin and immerse yourself in a magical corner full of nature, history, and charm on this day trip to the stunning Spreewald, a UNESCO-protected gem just an hour south of the capital. Here, the Spree River divides into a labyrinth of tranquil canals that wind through lush forests, picturesque villages, and a unique culture that has stood the test of time.
Our Spreewald Excursion begins in the charming town of Lübbenau, the gateway to the Spreewald. From there, we will board a traditional flat-bottomed boat for a relaxing two-hour cruise through fairytale-like canals. As we sail through green landscapes and wooden houses, a local boatman will tell us the secrets of this fascinating region.
Halfway through the tour, we will stop at the picturesque village of Lehde, where time seems to have stood still. You will have free time to stroll around, soak up the tranquility, or visit the Sorbian Open-Air Museum (optional, admission not included), where you will discover the traditions of this Slavic community that has inhabited the area for centuries.
Afterward, we will return by boat to Lübbenau, where you will continue exploring with an audio guide on a pleasant 30-minute walk through its historic center. Then, enjoy free time to savor a typical lunch at a local restaurant (not included) or continue exploring at your own pace.
In the afternoon, we will return comfortably to Berlin, our hearts filled with dreamlike landscapes and unforgettable memories of this magical getaway to the green heart of Germany.
This excursion takes us to the most notable palaces in the region, where we can enjoy the splendid atmosphere of German royalty.
Visit the former German Nazi concentration camp of Gross Rosen and the Riese Complex in the Owl Mountains.
