This excursion takes us to the most notable palaces in the region, where we can enjoy the splendid atmosphere of German royalty.
Our first stop is the Charlottenburg Palace built in the 17th century as the summer residence for Queen Sofia Charlotte of Prussia. We admire richly decorated rooms in the baroque style filled of luxurious furniture and lavish interiors. The porcelain room is going to leave you amazed!
Next we will travel to Potsdam, the old residence of kings and emperors. Our first point is going to be gigantic New Palace – the last great architectural work promoted by the Prussian king Frederick the Great. Built at the end of the War of the Seven Years, was intended to confirm the importance of Prussia as a European power.
Afterwards we will go to the most splendid thing in Potsdam – the palace summer holiday of King Frederick the Great – Sanssouci. It is there where the “Old Fritz” received the eminent philosophers of the age of enlightenment as. Than you will take a 1 hour break, where you can go eat, take pictures and visit the picturesque Dutch Quarter.
We will go to the last point of the route, the Cecilienhof Palace. it is there where after the Second World War three world powers met to define the destiny of Germany. During the panoramic visit (not interiors) we will discuss the details of the conference, the big three led by Winston Churchill, Harry Truman and Joseph Stalin. Departure to Berlin and we will arrive at Bahnhof Berlin Zoologischer Garten after eight hours, where you can choose to explore West Berlin or proceed to your final destination.
