Bonn is a German city in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It was the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany until the reunification of the country in 1990, and seat of government until 1999. It is part of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan macro-region.
Görlitz is the easternmost city in Germany. The city is located in Upper Lusatia and is the sixth largest city in the state of Saxony. When the borders were redefined after the Second World War, the eastern side of the city, much smaller in size, became part of Poland, receiving the name of Zgorzelec.
