Potsdam is a German city, capital and most populous city of the federal state of Brandenburg, located in the vicinity of Berlin, along the Havel River.
The city is known for its legacy as the former residence of the Prussian kings with its many unique palace and park complexes and the important bourgeois city.

It is also the German city where the most companies are in the DAX stock index, the region being an important economic engine of the financial, technological, automotive, and service industries.
