Free Tour through the Historic Center of Leipzig

We will start this free tour of Leipzig in Spanish in front of the impressive train station. From this monument we will go to the old town of the Saxon city.

We will continue the free tour of Leipz next to the university campus, one of the oldest in the country. We will also stop at the opera house and philharmonic building that continue the excellent musical traditions of Bach, Wagner, Mendelssohn or Schumann. We will pass through the enormous enclosure of the New Town Hall, astonishing you with its size and beauty.

Later we will go to the church of San Nicolás, where we will contemplate the majestic statue of Juan Sebastián Bach - the legendary conductor of the choro famous for his compositions of cantatas and passions.

 We will then explore Mädlerpassage, where we will admire one of the most famous German taverns immortalized by the poet Goethe in his masterpiece "Faust". The next stop will take place at the Marktplatz. In this square we will admire the representative Old Town Hall knowing the commercial routes that contributed to the growth of the famous fairs.

After two and a half hours of travel, we will conclude the free tour in front of the "Runde Ecke" building. There we will see the communist architecture built by the "sword and shield" of the GDR - the infamous Ministry of Public Security. It is where you can decide if you want to know a frightening system of permanent surveillance and terror developed by the feared and almighty Stasi or return to the square to enjoy the delicious Saxon food and delicious beers.
