Munich, located at the foot of the Alps, is one of the most important German cities. Our walking tour starts in front of the Karlstor at Karlsplatz, where you will learn about the origins of the city.
After a pleasant walk we will pass by the emblematic Cathedral of Our Lady or Frauenkirche, learning about the legend of the Devil and his supposed visit to the church. Then we will arrive at the heart of Munich: Marienplatz (St. Mary’s Square).
We will admire the New Town Hall and hear the story of the famous Mariensäule (St. Mary’s Column) and the Glockenspiel (carillon located in the Town Hall).
We will continue the free tour of Munich next to the Italian-style square – Odeonsplatz, where we see the Feldherrnhalle (Homage to the Field Marshals) and Theatinerkirche (Theatine Church). We will discover the history of the failed coup of the Nazi movement of 1923 and its symbolic importance under the Third Reich.
